Apple MacBook Pro : Best Windows notebook yet!

So a client of mine purchased an Apple MacBook Pro, with the idea that I’d install Windows on it, and configure it to his existing Windows XP network. Somehow, I was envisioning headaches.

I have to say that it is the smoothest installation yet! Actually went off without a hitch. I was impressed.  Apple made the ‘Boot Camp’ program work so easily.  All my client did was purchase Fusion, and a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. BootCamp had you print out the instructions, which were easy for any run-of-the-mill technician to follow. You create the Windows partition, decide how much room you want it to have, and you’re on your way.  Once you are finished with the Windows install, you can:

  • Have Windows boot by default
  • Have Mac boot, then launch your Windows partition as a virtual machine via Fusion

It was sweet.
